New Music: N.E.R.D. Featuring Future – “1000” (Prod. Pharrell)

N.E.R.D. releases Pharrell-produced single, “1000,” off of upcoming album NO_ONE EVER REALLY DIES, featuring Atlanta’s own, Future.

N.E.R.D. has pulled through once again.  Last night, the Pharrell-led Rock group released a new single, titled “1000.”  With a funky, dance beat produced by Pharrell himself and a catchy verse from Future, this song proves to be special.  From the initial 4-count beat, the LA producer continues to flex the hit-making ability he contains.

Future also proves the lyrical ability he has.  It’s been a busy year for the Atlanta artist as well, with two albums and numerous other side features.  And with this verse, it’s evident that he has talent in a wide range of hip-hop sub-genres.

This song is the second single released off N.E.R.D.’s upcoming studio album, NO_ONE EVER REALLY DIES, the first of course being “Lemon” with Rihanna.  From the day Pharrell announced it, everyone has been ecstatic, as it’s the group’s first album since 2010.  If N.E.R.D. keeps producing like they’ve consistently done with these past two singles, this new project shouldn’t disappoint.
