New Music: Lil Wayne Returns With Long Awaited “Dedication 6” Mixtape

Lil Wayne has released the long-awaited Dedication 6 mixtape, hosted by DJ Drama and featuring Nicki Minaj, Gudda Gudda and more.

On Christmas Day, Lil Wayne kept his promise to his fans and released the long awaited Dedication 6 mixtape.  This, hosted of course by DJ Drama, comes as the first tape in the 12 year-old mixtape series since 2013.  And with this project, Wayne continues to show that he’s not done yet with putting out great music.

This tape features remixes of songs across the board, which has been a theme with Wayne in the past.  On D6, he remixes Kendrick on “Fly Away,” Lil Uzi Vert on “Boyz 2 Menace” and on the “XO Tour Life” Remix, along with JAY Z on “Blackin’ Out.”  Wayne and Nicki Minaj also flex their old ways on “5 Star,” a remix to “Rockstar” by Post Malone.

This new project once again circulates talk of when “Tha Carter V” will be releasing.  As all rap fans know, this upcoming album could be the final Wayne album.  However, what no one knows is where it is, and what the Cash Money Label is doing with it.  But in the mean time, D6 is a great listen, showing what Wayne can still do in 2017.

You can stream the mixtape on Datpiff, Spinrilla, Youtube, along with most mixtape-based streaming sites.
