Jay Z Speaks On Meek Mill Situation At Philly Concert
Last night at his show in Philly, Jay Z discussed Meek Mill and his unhappiness over Meek’s harsh sentence to his audience.
On Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center, JAY Z decided to discuss his opinions over the Meek Mill situation. As most know, Meek was sentenced to two years minimum in state prison for violating his probation early November. Since then, many have come forward to fight for a less-harsh sentence for Meek. Many are even working to eventually free the 30 year old rapper from jail.
This was different though. Although many celebrities are coming forward to fight, it’s cool to see JAY Z using this platform. As an artist of this magnitude, stopping your show to fight for another’s situation is really something to see. Hov mentioned that the legal system as been stalking Meek for years and years, and that we all need to come together to fight. The reception from Meek’s home town of Philly was electric, which you can see below.
JAY Z is currently enduring on his ‘4:44 Tour,’ promoting the success of it’s respective album. It began late October and runs until late this month, and is reporting to be one of his most successful tours to date. Throughout this tour, there’s been numerous time where he’s paid his respects towards Meek Mill. He also defended Meek in an op-ed for the New York Times a few short weeks ago.
