Donald Glover’s “Atlanta” Will Return For Second Season In February 2018
Donald Glover’s FX comedy “Atlanta” confirmed to return for season number two, however won’t premier until February 2018.
From the pilot episode of “Atlanta,” it’s been clear that Donald Glover (AKA Childish Gambino) can have a career in Hollywood. The 34 year-old entertainer from Georgia created, produced and acted as the lead character of the very successful FX comedy, showing the ins and outs of the music industry. He plays Earnest Marks, the young manager of his cousin, Alfred “Paper Boy” Miles, an up-and-coming Atlanta rapper.
The first season was a great success, generating a perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. And now, with fans waiting patiently, a second season has a confirmed date (well at least, month). Earlier today, LaKeith Stanfield, who plays Paper Boy’s one man entourage, Darius, confirmed when we can expect season two. Stanfield posted on Instagram a picture of the cast, confirming that season two is coming, but not until February 2018. It’s exciting to see this Emmy winning TV show returning, but the impatience is definitely a factor here.
If this release-month is true, it will come almost a year and a half since the first season concluded. This of course makes fans more anxious for the return of the show. However that’s what comes with the great work that Donald Glover provides. The show has been phenomenal thus far, so it’s appropriate to take as much time as possible to make sure it’s right.
