TRIPSIXX Releases Much-Anticipated METAL GEAR TAPE

TRIPSIXX released his project Metal Gear Tape this morning via his Instagram. The 9 song deep tape includes production from Da-P, High Klassified, Krinny & More. As is the pattern with his OCD curated projects, there are no guest features.

TRIPSIXX’s music library is focused on his sing/rap style. His authentic and refreshing aesthetic has helped him build a very promising career for himself. The level of originality in his music is not to be ignored with his bar game on lock and sky-high vibe carefully crafted into a sonic adventure. His latest effort is no less. It starts off with “Meta”, a powerful intro produced by Soulection‘s Da-P, transitioning into a “Casino” & “Wake The Dead Up” followed by a punch in the face/no-time-to-breath heater “28g” showing off the rapper’s ability to go from 0 to double triple time faster than you can say hallelujah.

The tape also includes his previously released song “Kush Up”. As for the new material, I feel TRIPSIXX has finally perfected his ability to balance sing/rap/mumble rap with his heavy bar game. What makes him stand out is that he can actually rap. Mentally the tape takes you to the trap/R&B borderline where it’s hard to tell what genre you’re bumping.
