Roy Woods Drops UTU Brand, Gets Instant Drake Approval
In a pool full of young talented artists from Toronto, Roy Woods is an exciting creative to look forward to.
The OVO crooner just dropped his UTU brand (which stands for ‘Unlock The Underground’) via Instagram. Although there are only a limited amount of items on the website, from the looks of Roy’s social media he has been flexing his own gear from time suggesting there will be further items added to his online store. One early fan was Drake who commented on the post showing his support.
With a gang-friendly ‘Say Less Freestyle‘ that premiered on OVO Sound Radio over a week ago out now, Roy stays busy readying his debut album Say Less, set to drop later this year. It would seem his first official single off the LP may be around the corner.
His level of diversity in music puts him in his own league instantly. His previous projects like Exis, Waking At Dawn and Nocturnal are proof of why the young OVO boy is poised to have a big year, hovering between sing-rap styles and tempo change-ups. His music video “Instinct” featuring MADEINTYO took over when it dropped, in which Roy showed off his exquisite fashion taste along with addressing his sauce level.
