Ice Cube Comments On NBA Super Teams & McGregor Versus Mayweather

Ice Cube gives his take on some popular topics.

In a recent interview with XXL’s new segment Views, Ice Cube decided to share his opinion on two of the most talked about topics in today’s world: NBA Super Teams and the upcoming boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr.. Some people believe that the Golden State Warriors have ruined the NBA, but the thinks it’s just jealousy by other fans.

The “It Was A Good Day” rapper went on to say, “When it comes to NBA super teams, of course you like em’ when they’re in your city. We had Kobe and Shaq and when we had the ‘Showtime’, we weren’t complaining about a super team. Bob McAdoo, one of the leagues leading scores, come join your team, all these are super teams to me. It happens in sports and nobody likes it unless it’s your squad.”

On the McGregor vs. Mayweather Jr. bout set to happen on August 26th, Cube compared the fight to a bout in Rocky III, saying, “Mayweather versus McGregor reminds me of when Rocky fought Thunderlips (Hulk Hogan) or something, it’s like an exhibition to me. It’s not a respectable match.”
